(Low-Density Polyethylene) is one of the most widely used plastics globally, valued for its softness, flexibility, transparency, and excellent moisture barrier properties. Primary applications include flexible packaging films, bread bags, frozen food pouches, shrink and stretch wrap, and lamination films for juice cartons and paper cups. In agriculture, LDPE serves as greenhouse and mulch film. The medical sector relies on LDPE for squeeze bottles, IV bags, and BFS pharmaceutical packaging, where purity and flexibility are critical. LDPE is also widely used in wire and cable insulation, coating applications, and as a key component in multilayer film structures where its sealing and adhesion properties complement higher-barrier materials. Its relatively lower tensile strength compared to LLDPE or HDPE is offset by superior clarity, softness, and processing ease on blown and cast film lines — making LDPE the preferred choice wherever gentle handling, flexibility, and visual appeal are priorities.
